Brittney | Fort Collins Senior Portrait Photographer

I don't shoot seniors very often, typically only upon special request.  This fall, I have been asked to shoot a few senior girls, and they have been some of the prettiest young women I have met in a long time. Meet Brittney.  We shot in a couple locations of Fort Collins for her Class of 2013 Senior Portraits.  She was quiet and lovely.  I enjoyed spending time with her.  We even got to play with horses for a little while (even though the horses weren't terribly interested in us at first since they were eating supper)

I'm still here!  Brink Street Photography is still alive and kicking (and still booking!)

Oye.  Time flies when you're having fun, right?  I can't believe how I've neglected my poor blog.  We've had a very very busy beginning of the year.  We are expecting #4 any day now. I'm 38 weeks today. That's me and out little one up there!

Our family (the whole big family) made the decision after several difficult months and a lot of praying that it was time to move my grandmother (the one who lived with us) to a nursing home.  Her needs were becoming greater than we could offer on our own, and we want her safety to be the first priority.  She moved last month and is settling in beautifully.  We miss having her in the day to day, but we get to go see her a few times a week.  Talk about a lot of change, right?  We also bought a van to fit the new size of our crew, and will be moving before the end of the summer.  Don't worry though!  We will still be in the Denver area.

I have a TON of sessions to share with you- and then before we know it I will be gushing over our new arrival.  I can't wait to dive into sharing images.  Posts will be coming up every few days.

Years go too fast.  I really feel like I just did Mister Carter's newborn photos just a few days ago, and here he is One year old!  Aren't his little eyes stunning??

Kyre | Denver Senior Photographer

I love me some seniors with sas.  Especially when that sas includes bright colors, a fun attitude and being open for anything!  We got super lucky at this session- the trolley drivers waited to close up and let us climb on board!  They even let her rock out the conductors hat.  I had so much fun- and it is always great to get to shoot a senior who you have a ton in common with!  Theater, Egypt, reading, cooking= fun times people!

Kyre- you are stunning and wonderful.  God has great plans for you!  I hope that you have a beautiful senior year!

{Shahn ~ Class of 2011} | Loveland Colorado Senior Photographer

I always look forward to senior sessions.  Especially girls who are gorgeous and don't even know it.  It is so wonderful to see them blossom through a session- watch them have just a touch more confidence- and stand a little taller.  I was an insanely awkward teenager, and as a result saw very little in myself that others saw in me.  Then my dad took my senior portraits (didn't know he was a photographer- did ya?)- and I saw something that I hadn't seen before.  I was growing out of awkward.  I was pretty!  I had a nice smile!  My monkey arms weren't really as primate-like as I had imagined.  I hope that the images I capture of these lovely young women will help them to see the beauty in themselves that they may have missed in the mirror.  Your parent's see it, and so does the rest of the world.  Shine, beautiful. Shahn- you are LOVELY!  It was a pleasure to spend part of your vacation with you- thank you for trusting me.  Can you believe her eyes???  About knocked my socks off!

High School Senior Blog

Viestenz-Smith Mountain Park in Big Thompson Canyon outside of Loveland, CO is one of my favorite places to shoot.  There are beautiful trees, a river, a pond, and even a little playground!

Best of 2009 | Denver Portrait Photographer

First and foremost, I want to say THANK YOU to all of my clients who made my first year in business so absolutely wonderful.  You allow me to have the best job in the world, and I am thankful for each and every one of you.  Each of your sessions have enriched my life and I am blessed to know you.  I look forward to seeing everyone this year!

Choosing is never easy for me- I love so much each and every one of the images, and to pick my favorites took a lot longer than I expected.  These are the photos that speak most to me.

Now for the fun part! The photograph with the most votes by Midnight on Sunday, January 31st, wins a gorgeous 11x14" canvas gallery wrap of the winning image, as well as a $150 credit towards their next session!  So if your image is in this selection, spread the word!  Votes are monitored by I.P. address, so only 1 vote per household. The photo in second place will receive an 11x14" print ready to be framed.

There is also a fabulous goodie for all my voters as well! Just leave a comment here on the blog about what you look forward to seeing here most this year- be it more newborns, families, giveaways, specials- whatever your heart fancies and you will be entered to have your session fee waived ( a $150 value)!

Have fun everyone!

All shiny and new | Denver Portrait Photographer

It's a blog!  I am so excited to present to you the all new Brink Street Photography blog.  Here you will find sneak previews of recent sessions, new products, special events, and many many other fun and exciting things that we just couldn't present on the flash website!  It will be a continual work in progress, adding new features as Brink Street grows.  I hope that you continue to join us! So lets get started by introducing my family (my most captured "subjects"!)

This is me, Kim... and that little bump is our soon to arrive 3rd kiddo.  She will be here before we know it and can't wait to meet her.  I can assure you that you will see plenty of her here on the blog just as soon as she arrives.

This is me

I am blessed with the most amazing family in the whole world.  I have a best friend and husband all rolled into one- which is fantastic because we can talk for hours, be complete goofballs (something we are exceedingly good at), but we get to hold hands and snuggle too!  Doesn't get much better than that.  Plus he's really really good looking....

Daddy and his babies Chris Jump

We take care of my lovely grandmother, a wonderful addition to our lives.  She is 86 and my kids are nuts about her.  She is a loving and gentle soul and we are so happy that we get to share this time of her life with her.

Gran's Hands

And then there are my babies...  God lent them to me for a little while, and I promised to enjoy them to the fullest!  My oldest daughter will be 4 in January, and my son will be 2 in January.  Yes, they will all have birthdays within 2 weeks of Christmas.  Go us for timing!  They are the most amazing kids- little balls of energy.  They are the truest photographer's children- simply meaning they see the camera and RUN!  You'd be amazed what we have to do to get their pictures.  I admit it, I'm not against a tiny bit of bribery.

And of course, we cannot forget our oldest, our sweet doggy daughter- the one who loves all of us with everything she has, tolerates the kids clambering on her, and gets WAY too many table scraps.

We have THREE prizes up for grabs!
