{Dave & Kim} | Fort Collins Couples and Family Photographer

One of the biggest reasons I wanted to start doing Embrace sessions was to showcase how love grows. That through the storms in life if we cling to our spouse- we grow stronger, more deeply in love. Kim and Dave are an amazing example of this. They still look at each other like they are in puppy love- and you would never guess that they have been married for over 20 years. I had a blast with these two- plus Kim is FIERCE in the fashion department! I want to go shopping with her! Everything was perfect and accessorized so well!Fort Collins Couples Photographer

After we rocked out their Embrace session, their kiddos came and joined in!  They all have these insanely blues eyes- it was shocking how beautiful they all are.  I want to hang their pictures in MY house!  So much style- and they are all so close.  It warms my heart to see teens who love and enjoy their parents.

Fort Collins Family Photographer

Thank you again P family for allowing me to spend some time with your wonderful family.  I had a really hard time choosing your preview shots- there are so many I love from your session!

One of my favorite things about the Ft Collins area is that everywhere you turn, there is a gorgeous location just waiting for you. With so many choices it is sometimes hard to decide which one will best suit. I think this one hit the nail on the head! Arapaho Bend is a natural area right off the highway in Ft Collins. The options were limitless!

{ Brett & Kristen } | Castle Rock Couples Photographer

Here is the first of what I hope to be many Embrace sessions.  In a world where marriage has become something dangerous and risky, where the failure rate is just as high if not higher than the success rate, I want to embrace love.  Love continues after the butterflies die down and babies bring sleepless nights.  Love and friendship grow deeper with time.  They change, deepen, mature.  It's beautiful. Embrace sessions are for couples who want a special session to capture their love.  Like an engagement session for the already-married.  If you are interested in an embrace session, please contact me!

I don't think I have giggled as much as I did with Kristen and Brett.  They have known each other since they were teens- and their friendship shows.  We even had an encounter with loose cattle at our session.  Fortunately the grass was more interesting to the cows than we were.  Kristen... You are stunning.  STUNNING.  Here are just a few from our session.  More to come soon!!

{G Family} | Highlands Ranch Family Photographer

I got to play duck-duck-goose this weekend.  Actually, it usually becomes duck-duck-duck-duck-duck.....DUCK-duck-duck.... DUUUUUUUCK-duck-duck......GOOSE!, followed by running not in a circle, but FAR FAR away from the goose.  At least if we're playing playground rules.  I admit though- I kinda stunk up the duck-duck-goosing.  I had a injured heel and I couldn't chase the boys.  I was bummed. Aren't these boys too cute???  Five years old, with a new brother, cuteness galore and awesome parents.  They know all about super heroes and think it's hilarious when you tell them not to smile.  They made my day.

Highlands_Ranch_Family_Photographer

The whole family was all about bare feet.  I have to tell you- I was excited about that, because shoes are, after all, highly overrated.

Thank you G family.  You are all beautiful and have blessed me.

Lovely. | Englewood Colorado Family Photographer

I love when I have the opportunity to capture a family together.  I especially love when I get to capture a really fun family together.  There is never a shortage of smiles or laughter, and love emanates from all of them as they play together.   These moments pass so quickly in our lives- Our children are small for a few seconds- and we never know what tomorrow might bring.  Having photos together is so important- playing, laughing, loving one another. I am truly blessed to know the B family.  Sabrina and Aiden are fantastic, beautiful, and joyful.  They make me smile the whole time I am shooting them- even if we find a gardener snake during our session (*shiver*).  Trey and Michelle... You two are so wonderful.  I love the way you play together and with the kids.  Thank you for being such a wonderful family!!  Happy Father's day!

Long Road... | Englewood Colorado Family Photographer

I can't believe nearly a month has passed since my last blog post.  We have had a crazy month and it seems like my head is finally slowing its spin.  For those who don't know, we take care of my Grandmother.  She is nearly 87!  On April 29th she had a heart attack.  By the grace of God, she is recovering very well, but it has been one heck of an adjustment since her coming home.  We are just thankful that we are with her and were able to get her medical treatment before it was too late. Doctor's appointments, Therapists, Nurse Visits, and old friends have kept our household bustling.  Being home constantly has given us a chance to take lots of snapshots of the little details of our life.  Teagan is sitting up on her own now, and this new perspective has her wheels turning.  You can see that now she thinks she wants to get moving- and crawling will come before we know it.  She is such a joy and so full of personality.  She can't resist an opportunity to brighten someone's day with her precious 5 1/2 month old smile.  She is my little chubba- Rolls everywhere!  Hailey and Noah were chubby, but never had so many rolls.

Blog Teagan

Noah is our busy boy.  100mph or sleeping (Sometimes in the funniest places), he keeps us on our toes.  He is actively potty training- so all of our visitors have gotten to witness shameless acts of streaking as he bolts for the potty.  He is at the age that is far too busy to take the time to look at the camera unless we are slinging mud at a window or trying to scare Mommy as "Dino Noah".  He lights up our life.  Noah is our pistol.  Our energy.  Our chatterbox. His sister's defender, best friend and worst enemy.  If they aren't fighting, they are holding hands and hugging.  He adores his baby sister and wants so desperately to carry her around.  We have had a few instances that we have to stop him as he attempts to lift her off the floor by her legs.  He makes each day interesting and exciting- and while it can be tiring- it is wonderful and I am thankful to have such a smart, healthy little boy.

Noah Blog

Then there is Hailey.  A princess to the core, during playtime we have to address her as such.  "Princess Hailey"- and if she is playing the role of mommy, it is "Mommy Princess Hailey".  She is full of questions- most that she is too young to ask.  She is a little mommy, and glued to her baby sister's side.  She loves being a helper and tries all too often to carry Teagan and change her diapers.  She is a daddy's girl, and about half way through the workday will start asking if she can watch for him to come home.  She wants to go to school as long as I come with her.  She is amazing and has a beautiful and caring heart.  She doesn't know a stranger in the world, and if you aren't careful when we bump into you at the store- she may very well share her life's story with you as we wait in the check out line.  At 4 she already has a heart for service and asks how we can help others.  It melts my heart.

Hailey Blog We are beyond blessed to have such amazing children.  We are blessed to spend time with their great grandmother- they are given more gifts from their time with her than they could ever hold in their  hands.  We are blessed to be at home, blessed to have each other, blessed to have time together, blessed to know that the most solid thing we have is family.

Someone Special | Englewood Newborn Photographer

Who says you can't make friends online?  While we were in Texas we visited my dear friend Andria- she had just had baby #3 (at home!  ROCK STAR!)- 9 pounds and 10 days early.  Can you imagine if he had cooked all the way?  I've delivered 9 pound babies- but I was numb from the chest down- so I am in awe of her strength. Andria and I met online almost 3 years ago.  Our boys are only a few months apart, and now our little ones will also be close in age.  This little one is a miracle baby- and you can feel love radiating for him as soon as you walk into the house.  We don't get to see each other often- but we are good friends and I am thankful for her.  It was an honor to capture some newborn images of her wonderful baby boy- and of her older son.  Even the puppy had to get in on the fun- although I wouldn't have suggested white for her- but she insisted that we take her picture.  I wish we could have convinced her daughter to let us capture her as well. Austin Newborn Blog Thank you Andria for allowing us to spend time with you and to snuggle your babies!

Different is good | Timnath, Colorado Baby Photographer

I had the honor of photographing this beautiful family and newborn on Valentine's day in Timnath (which is just outside of Fort Collins) this past weekend.  They already had one stunning little girl, and now have added a beautiful baby boy to the family.  He did NOT like my bean bag, and made sure that he didn't have to stay there long!  As different as it was to leave my bean bag behind- it was good!  This family is beautiful and I was blessed to take more photos of "togetherness" that I usually do.  Their DARLING little girl had me giggling through the whole session!  I wish I had gotten video of her animal sounds and fantastic expressions- it was a hoot!! Blog

As long as he was swaddled and in mommy's arms, or listening to daddy play his guitar, he was happy.  What a beautiful and lovely family to spend time with.

Comfy Joey | Denver, Colorado Commercial Photographer

I had SO much fun shooting the Comfy Joey Spring collection!  The mommies and babies all looked beautiful and did a great job- not to mention the fact that these ring slings are STUNNING!  The colors are vibrant and they are amazingly well made.  I am an avid baby-wearer, but had never tried a ring sling before- and I have to tell you, after getting to try these, I think I'm sold!  My 2 year old thinks they are about the coolest thing ever and has LOVED riding in them the last couple days.  I think he missed being worn.

JoeyBlog2

Could I have had more beautiful models?  Lucky lucky me!  And to top it all off The owner of Comfy Joey had an experience ring sling wearer come and help style everyone.  It was wonderful to have the help and knowledge.  I hope to work with Ayesha and her sling again in the future!

5 Days New | Greeley Colorado Newborn Photographer

What a blessing it is to get to love on babies as a job.  This sweet pea was a big boy, and oh so wonderful!  He was 9lb, 6oz when he was born and 22.5"!  He was such a pistol and didn't think it was cool to sleep.  You can just see him thinking of all the things he is going to get into and climb on.  He has one very proud daddy, two big sisters, a wonderful mommy and a whole lot of love.  I can't wait to get to know him as he grows!  Congratulations F. Family!!

Too Much Cuteness | Denver Family Photographer

WebJT

There aren't many things better in a photographer's world than when we get to shoot a beautiful family- except when they are FUN and beautiful!  I got just that with this family yesterday.  I just love them to pieces.  You'd never know that they were all freezing.  It sure looked a lot warmer than it was!  It sure has been fun getting to watch these guys grow up.  The littlest one will be ONE in just a couple of weeks.  I feel like I just did her Mommy's maternity's a couple weeks ago.  How time flies!

All shiny and new | Denver Portrait Photographer

It's a blog!  I am so excited to present to you the all new Brink Street Photography blog.  Here you will find sneak previews of recent sessions, new products, special events, and many many other fun and exciting things that we just couldn't present on the flash website!  It will be a continual work in progress, adding new features as Brink Street grows.  I hope that you continue to join us! So lets get started by introducing my family (my most captured "subjects"!)

This is me, Kim... and that little bump is our soon to arrive 3rd kiddo.  She will be here before we know it and can't wait to meet her.  I can assure you that you will see plenty of her here on the blog just as soon as she arrives.

This is me

I am blessed with the most amazing family in the whole world.  I have a best friend and husband all rolled into one- which is fantastic because we can talk for hours, be complete goofballs (something we are exceedingly good at), but we get to hold hands and snuggle too!  Doesn't get much better than that.  Plus he's really really good looking....

Daddy and his babies Chris Jump

We take care of my lovely grandmother, a wonderful addition to our lives.  She is 86 and my kids are nuts about her.  She is a loving and gentle soul and we are so happy that we get to share this time of her life with her.

Gran's Hands

And then there are my babies...  God lent them to me for a little while, and I promised to enjoy them to the fullest!  My oldest daughter will be 4 in January, and my son will be 2 in January.  Yes, they will all have birthdays within 2 weeks of Christmas.  Go us for timing!  They are the most amazing kids- little balls of energy.  They are the truest photographer's children- simply meaning they see the camera and RUN!  You'd be amazed what we have to do to get their pictures.  I admit it, I'm not against a tiny bit of bribery.

Arrrrgh

And of course, we cannot forget our oldest, our sweet doggy daughter- the one who loves all of us with everything she has, tolerates the kids clambering on her, and gets WAY too many table scraps.
